What Happens Next

A clear route from submission to publishing decision.

Every manuscript does not need the same intervention. The purpose of intake is to identify the right editorial and commercial next step.

01

Receipt & Screening

We check the manuscript, submission details, format and basic suitability for professional review.

02

Editorial Assessment

Where appropriate, the team evaluates readiness, structure, clarity, audience fit and publishing potential.

03

Recommendation

You may receive an assessment pathway, revision recommendation, service proposal or publishing decision.

04

Publishing Handoff

Approved and commercially agreed manuscripts move into editing, design, production, publication and distribution.

Submission Questions

Before sending your work.

Do I give up my copyright by submitting?

No. Submission for assessment does not transfer copyright. Any rights granted to Pathwalker would require a separate publishing or licensing agreement.

Does every submitted manuscript get published?

No. Submissions are screened for completeness, quality, fit and practical publishing readiness. Some manuscripts may require revision or professional development before publication.

Can I submit an unfinished manuscript?

Yes, if you have a substantial draft or sample chapters. If you only have an idea or outline, use the publishing enquiry route first so we can recommend book-development support.

How much does publishing cost?

Costs depend on manuscript length and the services required. Our public pricing page provides Nigerian package and individual-service guidance, while printing and complex projects are quoted based on specifications.

Can ministries and organisations submit commissioned projects?

Yes. Select the institutional or commissioned option and describe the publication, intended audience, ownership arrangement and production requirements.
